BreadTalk Group Limited is a listed bakery based in Singapore and was founded in April, 2000. It currently operates a chain of retail outlets through its subsidiary BreadTalk Pte Ltd, selling a wide range of bread, cakes, buns and pastries. BreadTalk stores are recognised by their distinctive BreadTalk signboards and brightly lit store interiors. BreadTalk has also been credited with revitalising the otherwise conservative bakery scene in Singapore with its creative store designs and emphasis on consumer marketing. A novel concept that BreadTalk embraced was its "see-through" kitchens, often located next to or within the retail outlet, separated from the main retail space by transparent glass panes, allowing the public to view the kitchens. The rationale for doing this was that it would promote confidence in their hygiene quality and food standards.

BreadTalk's signature food items are chicken and pork floss buns. A recent popular addition is the spicy version of the chicken and floss buns.

Din Tai Fung

BreadTalk has the franchise rights for famous Taiwanese Xiao Long Bao restaurant, Din Tai Fung. It opened its first restaurant at the Paragon, and has opened three other outlets in the island including one in Bishan and another in the newly renovated basement annex of Raffles City.

Food courts

BreadTalk also owns FoodRepublic.

The company has food courts in Wisma Atria, Vivocity and Suntec City shopping malls. Overseas, there are food courts in Hong Kong and People's Republic of China.

The company has also recently opened new Toast Box kampong kopitiam-styled coffee houses serving mainly coffee and kaya toast among other more modern snacks. These Toast Box outlets are typically attached to a main BreadTalk outlet or located within a Food Republic food court.

BreadTalk's branches in Indonesia are owned and managed by Johny Andrean, a famous hairdresser-turned-entrepreneur whose latest business, J.CO Donuts is a similarly styled bakery focusing on donuts which bears similarities to Krispy Kreme.
