Tata Motors will not restart work on the Nano factory as the accord between the local government and protesters is not detailed enough. It's stock price gained a reprieved after protests surrounding its Nano factory was called off.
Meanwhile, Asian stock markets rose with the news that the U.S. government would be taking over control of the two troubled corporations Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The move is seen to provide stability to the financial markets as many of the debtors of Fannie and Freddie bonds are overseas investors. The share prices of both Fannie and Freddie however hit a new low as the infusion of capital is expected to dilute shareholder's value.
