Tiger Airways reported a full year loss of $104.3mil compared to a $39.9mil net profit one year ago. For the fourth quarter, the net loss incurred was $16.4mil. Net asset value also fell to 30 cents per share as at end-Mar 2012 compared to 36 cents per share on 31 Mar 2011.
In fiscal year 2012, passengers served fell 8.4% to 5.5mil. Load factors fell to 81.5% while cost per available seat kilometre rose by 12%. The result was also significantly impact by the Tiger Australia suspension by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) as well as high fuel prices.
